The British actor — who shot to fame in the Twilight movie franchise — says he tries to hide his face so he can go about his business without being recognized by fans.

“Biting your nails works quite well!” Pattinon told Britain’s Glamour magazine when asked about his best disguise. “Actually, I was in HMV on Oxford Street on Christmas Eve buying Christmas presents, and not a single person noticed. And here were posters [Twilight and New Moon] everywhere! It’s been years since I’ve done anything like that, and I think people just aren’t looking in the same way in London.”

Rob says the best way to deal with fame is “try to keep working. Even ten years ago, Leonardo DiCaprio always talked about being able to take a break away from everything, but I don’t think you can do that anymore. I think you need to capitalize and steer your career at the same time, because I think that, especially with a thing like Twilight, where it is literally such a huge universe…”

Robert Pattinson is the inspiration for a new range of men’s underwear.

British brand Marks and Spencer is behind the brand – dubbed the R-Pant – which is designed to be worn underneath skinny jeans and trousers.

Richard Beale, head of merchandising at the store, said: “Over the last three years we’ve seen an increase in the popularity of hipsters. The new range is designed to appeal to a young, fashion-savvy customer.”

Oli Arnold, style director of Men’s Health magazine, told the Guardian: “I hate seeing the waistbands of men’s pants poking out of the top of their jeans. Do Marks and Spencer even sell skinny jeans? Maybe lots of women will buy them for their husbands and boyfriends though.”

Russell Brand and Mark Ronson were also named as inspirations for the brand of pants.

However, British-born heartthrob Pattinson turned down the opportunity to model the underwear.

One in four men in the UK buy underwear from Marks and Spencer, and Pattinson has been seen buying underwear in the store before.

“Kristen is always really good but also clearly speaks her mind. That can be a bit uncomfortable,” Rob told Germany’s Sächsische Zeitung newspaper.

“After we shoot a scene she sometimes looks at the director and says, ‘Let’s do that again.’

“If I did that she would probably kill me! She would probably say something like, ‘Shut up! The scene was perfect!’ ”Robert is constantly traveling with his work and admits there is no longer any place he can call home.

“My home consists of three suitcases which I live out of,” he said. “Everything is in there.”

In order to fit with his lifestyle, Robert has his food specially-prepared and sent to him, which he thinks is for the best as he is such a hopeless cook.

“In Los Angeles I started using a delivery service which only delivers fresh and healthy food. Even in the morning I have a bag with healthy food delivered to me. I’ve never in my life lived as healthy as I do now,” he said.

“Of course I miss homemade food, but I’m on my own or on the go most of the time. And I can’t cook myself. I only just manage to make some toast. I don’t seem to have the genetic endowments for it. I’m incapable to tell what tastes good and what doesn’t.”

Sources say the British actor is a hit with the ladies on the set of his new movie Water For Elephants because he’s such a gentleman.

The Twilight star, 24, courteously held open the door at all times for costar Reese Witherspoon, according to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.

“Rob is a real gent. All the ladies on the set of Water For Elephants love him,” a source said.

Rob recently admitted he has become a workaholic.

“I just want to work as much as I am now. I like working all the time because I spent so many years before Twilight just doing stuff for two or three months of the year,” he said.

“The rest of the time I’d do nothing, or I’d just have tiny little jobs.”

The “Eclipse” stud looked a bit annoyed with the shutterbugs as he hopped out of his chauffeured car and made his way inside rather quickly.

As for Courtney Love’s comments that Rob is all wrong to play her late husband Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic, Pattinson says the Hole rocker is an idiot.

Robert told press, “You see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying, ‘What the f***! He’s totally wrong for it,’ and I’m like, ‘I f***ing said no, you d**k!’ I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him. It’s ridiculous.”

‘Eclipse’ grossed $68.5 million on Wednesday from 4,416 theaters in North America, setting a new record for the biggest single day Wednesday opening gross in history, topping ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ ($62 million). The film also scored the biggest single day opening during the summer play period, besting ‘The Dark Knight’ ($67.2 million).

This Friday, ‘Eclipse’ will play at 4,468 theaters in North America, setting the record for the widest opening on the continent ever, out-dueling ‘Iron Man 2′ (4,390 theaters) and ‘Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince’ (4,445).

As well as the enormous sum, the trio will also receive a share of the gross profits which could bring their total pay to $41 million.

New York Magazine reports that “Summit will pay stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner each a whopping $25 million against 7.5 percent of the theatrical gross for starring in the next and last two Twilight movies, Breaking Dawn, parts one and two.”

The studio behind the movies Summit Entertainment re-negotiated the stars’ contracts earlier this year after deciding to split Stephenie Meyer’s final Twilight book Breaking Dawn into two movies.

The third film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – which has just been released — sees Robert as vampire Edward Cullen, Kristen as his human girlfriend Bella Swan and Taylor as werewolf Jacob Black reprise their roles.

Meanwhile, Breaking Dawn screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has revealed the last two movies in the series will be “sexier” than the previous three.

“Breaking Dawn will be sexier. I think we can get awfully sexy with a PG-13, I’m not worried about the rating,” she said.
