With the days counting down until next week’s launch, the stylish trio is taking you behind the scenes of the rock star-worthy ad campaign, set to bow in September magazines as well as online and in-store. So what, exactly, was it like for Momsen to represent a Material Girl? “For one, it’s Madonna so you know it’s gonna be cool and working with Madonna and Lola has been an unbelievable experience,” dishes Taylor, whose rocker-chic style was a perfect fit for the on-trend juniors’ collection of skinny jeans, flirty minidresses and more.

Momsen, who is not legally of age to enter venues that sell sexual paraphernalia, recently divulged  intimate details to Disorder Magazine. When asked if she is currently single, Momsen confirmed, and also added that she is “bored of men” and that her “best friend is her vibrator.”

So while critics are quick to condemn fellow teen sensation Miley Cyrus for a little dirty dancing or a racy photo or two, is it instead Momsen who people should be questioning?

Shirlee Smith, CEO of the Talk About Parenting organization, thinks so. “In my way of raising daughters, she shouldn’t be involved with ‘men’ and any of these men who have driven her to sexual boredom belong locked up because our society says men having sexual encounters with those under the age of consent are criminals,” she told FOX411.com.

She’s been seen several times before on stag in the get-up, but this time she clearly made a bit of an effort and swapped her usual bustier for a T-shirt with the arms chopped off, revealing a lacy bra.Her make-up was piled on thick, with huge black rings around her eyes.”I shower, then I put on a ton of black on my eyes, then I put lipstick on an a little bit of blush and then, I don’t brush my hair,” she told MTV news last week. Taylor has also admitted she chooses her own clothes after firing her stylist.

“I kind of had a freak out…because I was getting moulded into this thing that wasn’t who I am and it was fitting into the world that can make you popular or something. I was never a popular chick, so I don’t even know what that means!”This isn’t the first time Taylor has made an effort to shock.She recently told how she has a knife collection and “relaxes” by opening and closing a switchblade.

“I have a knife collection. I have my favourite black knife with me all the time. It’s a switchblade. It relaxes me to flick it. I close it and open it,” she told Metro.
Taylor could be forgiven for acting older than her years though. She’s been in the public eye since she was small, starring as the rosy-cheeked Cindy Lou Who in How The Grinch Stole Christmas. – Daily Mail

In fact, even though Momsen’s heavy makeup looks extremely calculated, the starlet reveals that it’s actually a lot easier than it seems. “[I use] whatever black eyeshadow and liner–that isn’t empty– in my makeup case and charcoal it on,” says Momsen. Speaking to FHM UK this week, the 16-year old lashed out at critics that compare her to Miley, making it very clear that she doesn’t see any similarities between the pair.

“I’m not looking to be Miley f*cking Cyrus,” Momsen said. “I don’t care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we’ll go along for the ride.”

Momsen and Cyrus may both act and sing, but that’s pretty much where the comparisons end. The former fronts rock band The Pretty Reckless, while the latter is nothing more than a Britney Spears wannabe at this point.

Still, Taylor feels a need to distance herself from Miley, adding: “I think the Disney bubblegum shit that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression.”

It’s unclear what that actually means, but Gossip Girl fans have made their opinion of Momsen and her character well-known: Jenny Humphrey has been written out of most of next season on the show.

What’s the theme of your new record?
I’m not kidding either. The record is religion, it’s death, it’s love, it’s sex, it’s politics–it’s Rock ‘n’ Roll. It’s a rock record that touches on life–observations of it–and all those topics. Each song has its own thing to it.

Some of these songs were released earlier this year. How much on your album is new material?
‘Make Me Wanna Die’ is the first song that anyone’s heard off the record. It’s a whole new record. And “Make Me Wanna Die” was specifically written for the record. [The rest] is kind of spearheaded off of that.

You’ve told me before that you like to work really late at night. Is that how this record came to be?
I would write a lot of things at night and then call Ben [Phillips, guitarist] and wake him up. What was written for this record was when I was touring on the earlier stuff. So I’d leave him voicemails at five in the morning of whole songs being sung with no guitar [laughs]. When I got back from tour, we buckled down, put it together, and finished everything.

Are you feeling a new satisfaction with transitioning from acting to music?
It’s something I’ve wanted to accomplish my whole life. Not to just make a record, but a great record that I’m really proud of and to sing for the rest of my life and not have to fucking worry–know what I mean? Even if people don’t like it, I like it and I’m proud of it.

I’ll take a hot pink or coral lipstick over a heavy smoky eye any day of the week so Taylor Momsen’s off-(Gossip Girl)duty look is never really my thing. Sorry, Taylz.. What do you think of her racoon-inspired, heavy-on-the-ebony-eyeshadow style that she wore when her band, Pretty Reckless, performed at the VANS Warped Tour? I get that she’s trying to show how far she’s come from being Little J, but do you think she’d be wise to tone down the smokiness?

But then again, not everyone is “Gossip Girl” star/ Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen.

Momsen accomplished a lot in the first 15 years of her life, and, judging by the crowd at Tuesday night’s party/concert, she’s made a lot of friends too. Holding it down in the Hiro Ballroom’s VIP section was the majority of the “Gossip Girl” cast — notably Ed Westwick (who was very close with Jessica Szhor) and Chace Crawford. The crew made their way to the front of the stage for one song to show support for their castmate before being whisked away from the screaming fans.

Arriving just in time for the concert was “NYC Prep” star Sebastian, who made sure to get front and center before sneaking away to the VIP lounge. Cheering Taylor on from downstairs included her onscreen best friend/ stepbrother, Connor Paolo and Matthew Settle, who sported a pair of glow-in-the-dark shades.

But this party was about the music, and Momsen and Pretty Reckless took the stage with authority. Backstage, Momsen warmed up by singing Britney Spears’ “… Baby One More Time,” and then the curtain rose to the sounds of thunder and lightning. The band thrashed through a loud, grunge-inspired and guitar-driven set; the boys wore eyeliner and Momsen channelled Hole-era Courtney Love in messy, peroxide-blonde hair and a hot pink slip dress. Her raspy singing voice sounded years beyond 16.

Momsen broke out her guitar for “Zombie,” and the band closed its set with the catchy “Good Girls Go to Heaven” (a line that is followed by “bad girls go everywhere”). Not long after, Momsen’s mother and sister surprised her onstage with a birthday cake (the audience got cupcakes!) and the band played one last song.
